Custom order a Quilt - Deposit

This is a non-refundable deposit of £25 on a custom order. It reserves a spot in my making schedule and covers the time and labour of discussing and designing your proposed quilt.

A bespoke quilt can make an heirloom gift for an important occasion, or just a beautiful functional object to bring comfort and colour to your, or a loved one's home. It can include personalised details and embroidery. I can make you a unique and distinctly personal piece, hand finished to a high standard (up to a maximum size of 200cm x 200cm).

On paying this deposit, you'll receive a list of questions from me by email to get an idea of your requirements. From there we can discuss options. I can offer the following:

• A traditional style pieced quilt with hand-quilting in a size and colour-scheme of your choice.

• A modern style quilt with hand stitched appliqué in a size and colour-scheme of your choice.

• A quilt which combines the two styles.

A quote and a design proposal will be given once ideas are discussed. A double bed sized quilt will usually cost around £1000 depending on the level of detail and a 20% deposit (less £25) will be due on mutual acceptance of the commission. The balance will be payable on completion, prior to shipping. Lead time is 10-12 weeks from the end of the design stage. Shipping in the UK is free, outside the UK it's charged at cost.
